Dear fashionistas, new trend alert on the horizon...
Probably not the first time you are seeing this as the look graced the catwalks in 2011! but wearing a skirt over your trousers can bring out a beautiful silhouette. Designers including Prada, Channel and Alexander Wang have already put their stamp on this trend.
If you love layering then you will probably think styling this look will be a walk in the park but in actual fact its a difficult look to pull. The trick is to wear the trousers fitted, i.e. peg leg trousers or skinny jeans and go for the lightest material possible. If you are short then mini skirts are your best friend to avoid drowning in the look but if you are taller then any length skirt will do. A-line skirts will also bring out a surprisingly beautiful silhouette.
Even KanyeWest is rocking this look. Whats your take on this trend... have you started uummmm skirting the issue yet???
